Friday and Saturday were cancelations days:

1)J, the girl I was supposed to go salsa with, she texted me saying she is sick and staying home

2)The taiwanese girl who was supposed to come on Feb 7th for one week to visit me from Germany (she had her flights and everything), got some problem with visa thing, and wrote me she will most likely won't be able to come as she has to leave Germany very soon

3) A stunning Italian girl wrote me Friday morning on Couch surfing saying she is coming to Stockholm to audition for some school (she is a dancer) and wanted to stay at my place on Saturday, I wrote to her yes, and was expecting her to come today at around 20:00, then she wrote me saying that she also got sick and didn't manage to come to town (the audition was in the outskirts of stockholm, so decided to stay somewhere nearby)

Anyway, the cancelation of J was a blessing in disguise because I was extremely tired on Friday when I returned from work, lied down to take a half an hour nap at around 18:00 and ended up waking up at 22:30 smiley Was hard to sleep after that, but fortunately I worked on some conference paper which I had to submit on Saturday. I finished writing it at around 3:00 am, and was very happy about it. If it gets accepted I will be traveling for free to Quebec in September!smiley Lots of traveling for work this year. Mexico end of March, Prague in May, South Italy in August, and Qubec in September, China in October and maybe San Francesco in November, exciting times!smiley

The cancelation of the taiwanese girl was a bit disappointing, because I was really looking forward to see her. We had about 10 days of amazing time together in the summer of 2010 in Taipei, and was hoping for something like that here.

On Friday at lunch time, with F we went to a free one hour Yoga class during lunch break. It was really nice, very basic and mostly focused on breathing and meditation, quite a contrast from the yoga classes I tried at my Gym. The guy is gonna run the same class every friday until June, and I think I will keep going. A Ukranian girl O that is a distant friend of F also showed up. I had also met her few times before and the second time I met her she was not that friendly and I asked her why and she said that I have made some offensive comment about her (I don't remember it at all, all I remember was having a wonderful conversation with her). Anyways, I had apologized but after that every times I met her, I felt kinda weird (like when we meet in the metro I just say Hi O, and pass by). But yesterday, we had a nice chat about yoga after the class and she told us that she has also registered to the same ski trip for next weekend (my first ever, really looking forward to it!)

Saturday morning, I took a one hour gym class (around 11:00 am) followed by a 20K run with one of my running buddies, G. G is french and I met him the day after I arrived to Stockholm last March. I really like him. He is very active and quite handsome guy, always positive and cheerful. was nice to run with him after such a long time (last time was more than 5 months ago). One thing that I really admire about him is that he doesn't meet so many girls (he doesn't go out often, cause he like to run or go kayaking early morning), but whenever he meets one, something happens. So almost the exact opposite of me. Maybe I should try to learn something from himsmiley Ah, it was so cold today, around -14C. When I returned home, my fingers were completely frozen (inspire of the two running gloves I was wearing). I almost cried from the pain.

I eat, I cleaned my apartment, and spent about an hour relaxing with some nice music and then doing some meditation and visualization stuff. I was expecting the Italian girl to come for dinner but as I mentioned above, she canceled it. So I just finished eating my dinner and now I am going to a bar 5 minutes away, where I am supposed to meet F, his gf, and some five other friends for a drink. And maybe we will go out dancing smiley
