Website Upgrade In Progress

Our web guy says he's upgrading to Drupal 7 today, so things could get wonky for a while. Most of the changes we contemplate making will not be done until after the changeover. Although the design will look different, the new design itself will not be in place at first either.

Some issues

Hello Marnia/Gary,

The new website is looking very nice! But as a webmaster myself I have some very important suggestions:

- You should move up the login box in the left column. In my opinion this is very important. It currently appears near the bottom and it doesn't encourage people to login/register. You should move it up right above the "Navigation" sub menu.

- Related to the above, it would be very good if you can add a login or a register link in the menu that appears at the top. Maybe to the right of "Forum".

- The "My Account" link in the left column is gone. I can't find a way to access my account.

- The forum replies have too much white space between posts. It is very annoying. Also, it doesn't identify new posts with a red box like blog posts do. So basically forum posts are kind of hard and difficult to read.

I guess those are critical and the most important issues I've noticed so far.

I second that, especially because the login box disappears once logged in. Thus, those logged in won't be inconvenienced by the box being above the navigation box.

I see a red box some of the time. I'm not sure why it isn't always there. It also says new above the post title. That seems more consistent.

Red box is only in blogs

On the forum posts there are no boxes whatsoever, and there is an indent: the author appears in the left column all by itself and the text is on the right. Maybe it's because of the work in progress. I think the blog posts which don't have the indent (user appears above message) look much readable.

The sparkly trails following

The sparkly trails following the mouse pointer are a little too much. Also, the techno music you have playing in the background is kind of loud.. Does it even need to be there? I'm not sure, but my posts keep getting displayed on my Facebook page. A little embarrassing. Also, the "spend the week in Ashland with Marnia and Gary" sweepstakes is a little over the top don't you think? Since this change has taken place, I've been getting tons of spam from a Nigeria prince. And pop ups about ED? You guys really sold out... I'm going to the Christian site
