I was trying to create a blog, but I don't know if I have the ability to do that yet, so I'll just post here. First let me say this is an unbelievable resource for information on porn addiction. Everything else I found was laced with so much guilt, religiosity, and self-hatred. Thanks to the creators.

I've come to understand in the last days that I am pretty severely addicted to pornography. I'm in my 20s, the habit started very early, and I believe it's really shaped who I am, and what I've accepted about myself. There will be time to get into more of those thoughts as I go along, but for now I just want to say hello, and to have somewhere that I can post to keep myself somewhat accountable.

Today is my day 1..

Welcome aboard. Glad you like the information. If those other sites understood that guilt actually makes porn use more thrilling, they *really* wouldn't go that route. Hopefully humanity will figure it out soon. (Our next book will have an entire chapter devoted to explaining the brain chemistry challenge, called "The Road to Excess.")

I sometimes wonder how many guys are innocently suffering from the same, perfectly natural phenomenon. It seems that soon most every young guy in the West will have to make it through the gauntlet of porn. And all because we haven't understood what a powerful learning-reinforcer the combo of porn and orgasm are.
