All Growed Up...

A while back I did a photo series, showing a difference between when I first started the program and month later. It's been another five months or so, and I just took a new set of photos for a dating site; I was surprised at what I saw:

To my eyes, it looks like going from a boy to a teenager to an adult. In seven months! I'm past wondering at this kind of voodoo, but I figured I'd share.

- Something I'll think about when I see young-faced adults from now on.
- I had the hardest time making my mouth do that nervous little half-smile, I seem to be past making that particular gesture - real smiles nowadays.
- I have a feeling I might be a little more successful at the dating site this time around.

I've said it before and I'll say it again--those first pics you posted a while ago were a huge motivation to me. The differences between your before and after are striking.

I most definitely have that young-faced adult look you mentioned, and combined with my receding hairline, no one can tell how old I'm supposed to be. I look forward to the day when my face becomes honest again.

Let me ask you, did you notice similar changes about the rest of your body too? Thanks for posting these.

Yeah, I thought I accidentally deleted the "before" pics last week, and it bothered me. I'd have known something substantial took place even without the photos, but it's always smiley to have something measurable to look at. They're probably still motivation for me too.

Yep, but I wish I had the "befores" there to compare with. I'm definitely fitter and more lithe at the same weight. Some odd things, like, an old "weight-gain" diet that I go on for weightlifting actually made me lose five pounds, and I've been putting on muscle in areas that have been hard to build up in the past.

Thanks.

The happy face, that's another thing I noticed through the process, my face has gotten more elastic and expressive. So, maybe a Pinocchio aspect here too, becoming less wooden.
