AUTHORITARIAN THINKING
www.reuniting.info/node/3205 -
--"The Guru Papers: Masks of Authoritarian Power" by Joel Kramer and Diana Alstad. AC says, "This book has had profound impact on my thinking, almost as much as "Peace Between the Sheets". Honor the dialectic rather than empower the perfect." http://www.joeldiana.com/
HEALING
--"The Nine Essentials of Lifelong Vitality - Move Into Life - with the Anat Baniel Method" by Anat Baniel. Ms. Baniel is carrying on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais and this book describes what she's doing. If you've done Feldenkrais work, the book will deepen your understanding. If not, there are some very nice introductory exercises. The section on Subtlety compliments our work with karezza very nicely.

--"A Symphony in the Brain: The Evolution of the New Brain Wave Biofeedback" by Jim Robbins Using Neurofeedback to heal addiction, nice. You can play Pac Man or watch your favorite movie (watch out boys and girls, not that favorite movie) while rewiring your brain...awesome. Anybody tried it? http://www.eeginfo.com/shop/product_info.php/products_id/35
--"Focusing" by Eugene Gendlin http://www.reuniting.info/node/3763
http://www.focusing.org/
--"When the Heart Waits" by Sue Monk Kidd http://www.suemonkkidd.com/ She is a Christian writer who has a real sense of Dharma. The book is a memoir that uses the metaphor of the chrysalis in personal transformation.
--"The Dance of the Dissident Daughter" by Sue Monk Kidd Nice follow-up to "When the Heart Waits". This time a good Baptist girl finds the Goddess and challenges the patriarchy of the church.
--"The EFT Manual" by Gary Craig www.emofree.com This book is the original Emotional Freedom Techniques manual, written by the creator of the method and distributed for free online. The method has been hugely beneficial in my life, and many others also attest to its effectiveness.
JUNG
--"HE: Understanding Masculine Psychology" Robert Johnson http://www.jerryruhlrobertjohnson.com/
--"SHE: Understanding Feminine Psychology" Robert Johnson
--"Hero With A Thousand Faces" and anything by Joseph Campbell http://www.jcf.org/new/index.php
--"The Soul of Se
Cultivating Life as an Act of Love" Thomas Moore http://www.careofthesoul.net/wr_temple.htm AC says, "Gotta love a book that has pages and pages about Aphrodite. And there is soooo much forgiveness in his writing. I don't have it at hand so this quote is an approximation (Blake?). Porn users check out this attitude next time ya take a peek, 'The body is the Soul that we are able percieve with our senses.'"
MALE MATURITY
--"Way of the Superior Man" by David Deida is a good book that helped me to better comprehend my sexual drive. Instead of just using your sexual energy haphazardly, we can use it to "penetrate" the world with our purpose and goals. http://www.reuniting.info/node/3883 http://www.deida.info/
PROCRASTINATION
--"Time Management for Unmanageable People" by Ann McGee-Cooper and Duane Trammell. This book is particularly good for right-brained or creative people who suffer from procrastination. Not directly related, but a prevalent problem among our members. http://www.reuniting.info/node/3888
RELATIONSHIP
--"Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" For real....but we're all here. John Gray http://home.marsvenus.com/

SHAME
http://www.reuniting.info/node/1786#comment-20242
--"Healing The Shame That Binds You" by John Bradshaw. It's the best book I ever read on the subject. In fact, I have my copy here on my desk, underlined and annotated. His explorations of family dynamics and how shame gets transmitted from one generation to another had a big, big, BIG impact on how I see myself and my own family. I went from resenting my mom and dad for some things they did and say in the past to actually feeling compassion for them. Being shame based sucks.
-- "Theory of Positive Disintegration" Kazimierz Drabowski
-- Anything written by Alice Miller
--"Narcissism Revisited" by Sam Vaknin's It explains the dynamics of the relationships between narcissists and people who seem inexplicably attracted to them.
