I’m at around day 4 or 5 of abstinence, and this time I’ve deleted my favourite porn links from my favourites list, so I hope to avoid watching any porn whatsoever.

Good idea on getting rid of the links. Anything helps. Getting porn out of your life is a big step and will free up your mind for so much more. There's so much more to life than just sex. Porn is nothing but trouble, good job trying to tackle that.

Speaking of freeing up your mind for other things, that is mainly what draws me back into the avoidance of porn, it’s all the great works of literature out there waiting to be read, and also the energy for athletics. The only problem I’m faced with is that every time I have a nocturnal emission I usually view porn the next day. But I remember a time when I avoided porn after a wet dream. I read somewhere on here about the cold shower, and I did a variation of that last week and it worked. The hardest part is that porn is just a click away, and when I awake after an intense erotic dream, then the porn and masturbation is tempting to say the least. smiley

is a huge factor in any compelling substance/activity. That's where something like K9 ( free program that blocks porn) can help. It creates a barrier when your limbic brain is on a rampage.

I cant count how many times k9 has saved me. Plus it keeps a lot of the accidental pictures in some of the advertisements from reaching my screen.
