Poisoned Arrow in song

Possibly of interest is this You Tube video of Marianne Faithfull singing with The Chieftans. To me the lyrics speak of Cupid's Poisoned Arrow. Example, "love is a treasure, when first it's new".

I personally find it interesting the "blaming" of old age on the loss of love's edge. As we are learning here, it's NOT old age!
