Our adventure so far

My husband and I started the process a little over a week ago. We are
both blown away over the strength of the work. We live in an area of
Australia where sexual/spiritual growth is quite common and we live
quite a beautiful lifestlyle full of depth and connection and love.
BUT!! Although we are very in love and have been since we met 6yrs ago
we are so tired of the rollercoaster we experiance . We have learnt to
heal and manage the ups and downs we go through but we had begun to
think constant processing and the pushmepullyou rutine was just a part
of "the deal" that great love involves great work, and its seems to
lack much peacefull consistancy. We still belive our relationship
requires great work but theres a new energy developing between us that
feels so solid and reliable, and quite unfamiliar.
We seem to often be in conflict at the moment as our past intimacy
habits rise fiercly to our attention and demand to be adressed.
Ive been dealing and remembering my first negitive, sexually intimate
experiances as a teenager, and how much of this has stained my
behaviour with fear and insiquirities I hide quite sucessfully.
My husband had a experiance in the ocean on the weekend where he
grieved the feelings of being unwanted as a baby and a child.
We are both used to dealing with big stuff , but this is big and
beautiful and healing. We have never felt this safe processing emotional
issues.
We have both given up smoking and am finding it easy. In fact its the
first time Ive not jumped straight from nicotine to sugar, I feel full.
We have a big busy family so the crazyness of this two week period
will not be missed. Im hoping and in my heart trusting it will get
easier soon.
Feels good to to share my experiance with people who can relate,
with loving kindness and antici..........pation ,
Amie

Bella,

You found the perfect avatar for this forum!

Marnia writes that couples who are very in love in the first place manage fairly well to cope with the hangover, but those couples may probably reach new heights and experience a level of intimacy that was previously undreamed of.

Reading your post, it seems that you and your husband are one such couple.

Welcome on the forum and keep us posted on your progress Smiling

blessings,

webadmin.
