Enlisting the sub-conscious to help too
Dear Forum Members,
Like many of us, I have caused myself considerable problems as a result of excessive masturbation, porn and ejaculation over my lifetime. In my case, I have clearly cheated my spouse out of the terrfic love-making pleasure she deserves as a result. As a means to heal myself, I have been fortunate to embark on a regimen of hypnosis therapy with one of our forum members (NP Hypnotist). Her and I decided it may be interesting to share our therapy journey on this site.
Through hypnosis, our goal is to rid me completely of my taste for pornography, masturbation and all ejaculation. We will simply allow the wet dream to become the sole outlet valve for any possible need for seminal release. In other words, our goal is to help condition me to a fulfilling life of Karezza--or gentle, loving intercourse without ejaculation with my wife.
Stay tuned.

Hello David
Glad to see you are still at it. I hope you and your wife are doing well. I know you have faced some challenges in getting to where you want to be and although I don't know much about hypnosis it only makes sense to "hit the problem" from as many angles as possible to improve one's opportunities for success. I have always been intrigued by the concept of hypnosis as a vehicle for change - please keep us up to date on your progress.
thank you Virgil
You said it well, to approach the problem from "all angles" is a good strategy. I had my first session today, and it was rather refreshing.
It delights me that you joined the Reuniting site, it's clear that others enjoy hearing of your journey. I sure am and have.
David
Good luck to you
It would really be great to find a technique that makes this process of returning to balance easier. I hate seeing you guys struggle.
*big hug*
NP's comments
I first want to thank David for wanting to embark on this journey and also sharing it openly with this forum. It is both our hopes that some one may take heart in following our journey and David's successes.
David's goals are attainable ones. The first step is to teach him how to enter into a hypnotic state when he feels a need to indulge in any of the activities that in the past led to masturbation and watching porn. . David will learn how to redirect that energy, how to instantly relax and 'take himself' somewhere else, if he can not physically remove himself from the stimulating or triggering events.
Please note... this will be David's work...I will only be providing a guide. Hypnosis is not a panacea, but another tool. I can NOT make David do something he does not want to do, nor can I control his actions. What I can do is help him formulate and build suggestions that his subconscious mind will accept without sabotaging HIS goals. Hypnosis can help because we can bypass the part of our brain that constantly tell us that we are not going to succeed. I will help him deal with the withdrawal symptoms, and I can help in instilling a sense of confidence and pride in his achievements, that will reinforce the attainment of his goals. This is not a 'set in stone' journey as we have discussed at length, but a flexible path that allows for bumps and obstacles in the road, open to changes and and redefining goals.
The first step is for him to get very good at self-control in private, he has to gain the confidence that he CAN do it, he also has to remember to be kind to the person closest to himself (yes that is David himself.) The second step is that his wife is on-board with a very low key non stimulating karezza to reinforce his success, and but both must realize that this took years to develop, so it will take time to let his brain and body get used to new habits. David is a long time 'fantasizer' and I was not surprised to find him an excellent hypnotic client. I am looking forward to working with you David....
I think that future more personal notes from me, will be posted by David, as to insure his approval of details and insure my promise to all my clients of confidentiality.
Feel free to ask questions of both of us, either here or in private message.
Regards,
NP
I have also been trying self
I have also been trying self hypnosis but only with the intention of deep relaxation. I am reading a self help book about self-hypnosis and various techniques have been provided. I think self-hypnosis can also be used to get rid of cravings.
Great job Wodehouse
I feel that approaching a problem from several angles is a wise one. Personally, I can't even conceive of how hypnotherapy could hurt. So far, I can see the potential benefit--although I am just getting started with NP.
