I heard something that doesn't make sense, but I figured I'd post so that if anyone hears something similar, the correct information will be here. I heard that the prolactin induced hangover is greatest when orgasm and ejaculation come together, but almost imperceptible when orgasm or ejaculation are separate. I can perhaps see how ejaculation without orgasm wouldn't do much neurochemically, but I don't see how orgasm without ejaculation is neurochemically distinct from orgasm with ejaculation.

One third of women suffer sadness after sex, new study suggests.
The time spent cuddling between the sheets after a passionate romp with your loved one sends sparks flying for most women. For others, there’s no such afterglow. One in three women has experienced “postcoital blues” at some stage in their lives, according to a new Australian study.
Dubbed postcoital dysphoria or “bedroom blues” ten per cent of the 200 women surveyed said they frequently or always felt sad after sex.

I need some help. Some recent success at Karezza may have actually set me back.....Please allow me to explain.
For a variety of reasons my wife had not let me have intercourse with her during sex. Prior to my recent experience, the last time I was allowed intercourse was July of 2009. About a month ago I convinced my wife to try Karezza gentle intercourse. It went fantastically! We managed to bond this way for a solid 15 minutes or so. When we were done--no orgasms--the glow of the connection lasted for days. By all accounts I had a new "convert" on my hands with my wife.

Sunday morning I had one of those rare dream orgasms with ejaculation (only happened about 7 times in my life). Probably caused by some combination of:
- tight underwear
- going to bed around 4 or 5AM
- a new woman friend coming into my life. We've been communicating by email, haven't met face to face yet. I've been feeling hope and excitement the likes of which I haven't felt for almost 30 years. More about that in other posts, perhaps, as things progress.
Symptoms possibly related to orgasm "hangover":
