More than just a reboot part 1 - Health

Hey guys. That day is approaching and I'm really excited. But this is going to be more than just a stop PMO. This is going to be a full out change in my life if I can just keep on track. I recommend you all make similar changes in your life, as well. Although the whole "SMART" goal bullshit recommends only having one goal at a time, I don't believe in that. I feel with routine, I should be able to make beneficial changes to my life. I am writing this section in 2 parts.

boring update

I am not to struggle against a contrary element. I am to wait. The oracle says so. Just as well. Said element is pain, and given that it doesn't respond to painkillers there isn't much else I can do. Surgery went fine - but it didn't give me a diagnosis. I don't have endometriosis. So I'm back to the drawing board. I have a mystery ailment with a million symptoms and no obvious cause.

Question from a new poster

I believe I suffer from porn-induced ED, so I haven't PMO (as you folks call it) in about 4 days. Anyway, I'm not going to bore you with the usual story.

I was reading through some of the posts, and I watched the mini-series. The science teacher spoke about high-fattening food that spikes our dopamine. And from what I understand- if we're trying to recover from porn-induced ED, we have to abstain from PMO, so that we balance our dopamine levels.

Sparks.

Day 38. For some odd reason, food seems to affect me in a positive way. I was at school 2 days ago and also yesterday. I ate cashews both days (I also drank a bottle which had big amounts of vitamine B12 and zink) and all of the sudden I felt this odd tingly feeling in my little guy, as if blood was streaming through it at a faster pace. I was a slight bit amazed (I thought the food and the drink would boost my dopamine but not necessarily give me results immediately). I was expecting change to happen within weeks, not minutes. Perhaps I am becoming a slight bit better.

My story - Relapses and abstinence

Hi!

I'm a 22 year old male recovering from porn addiction, my porn addiction is and has been the most influential and the most destructive force in my life. I came onto this site about 5 weeks ago when I was breaking down mentally. I felt I was loosing my grip on reality and the things that I was finding on the web startled me, enough so that I felt I needed help.

New research centers on link between nutrition and brain function

Not all foods are created equal, whether the goal is having a healthier heart or losing weight. And the same could be true when it comes to what we eat and how depressed or happy we feel, how well we learn, and whether we suffer from mental illness.
