Been reading this book that gives the differnce between the two. Basically happiness is something we cultivate from within and pleasure is something we usually feel outwardly from our 5 senses. Pleasure is always fleeting where as happiness is something that can be lasting from within.
You can be happy in a dark solitude because it is a state of being, not something external. Happiness is lasting where pleasure can become
boring or lead to suffering (as with PMO) if done for a long period of time. A great example is music. You can get great pleasure from hearing a

YES! Sh!t has been getting BLEAK around All Recent Posts lately.
I'd like to toss this in, break it up a little with some celebration.
I've completed a full month of Rebooting! FRESH.
It has gotten a little easier overall. It's also not that easy, trying to maintain heroic vigilance against fantasy, as days turn to weeks turn to ONE MONTH!
Day 29 included a raging craving to jack off. I blew that off; I literally ran out the front door of my house.
I must confess I've cheated a TINY bit, occasionally clicking a little too far online and seeing a hot picture.

Happy people are the most attractive - no matter their age, weight, or 'objective' appearance.
I can't find the exact quote I was looking for regarding happiness (I swear it was something in a science blog, but now I can't find it). In searching for that quote, I ran across a page full of ideas as to how to increase our happiness.

As some of you know, my partner and I work in the same office. This last week we had a 'hell week', as far as work goes - systems sending out failing messages in the middle of the night on Sunday (had to go in at 1 am - stayed till 3, home at 4, back in at 8, yeesh!) , a yearly audit starting, and our usual rush to get the money 'out the door'. We still keep in touch with a group of ex-employees, and this most recent Friday, 10 of us had a date to go out and have a Friday happy hour.

I am coming up to 4 weeks without porn, prostitutes or masturbation. I am not missing these and I'm finding life without these is less stressful than I imagined. Rather than using these things something to turn to when things get tough I'm much more balanced.

If I have really beaten my addiction to porn and sex with prostitutes how will this Benefit me?
I can think of a number if ways.
firstly financially I won't be spending about £200 on porno and prostitutes every month, We'll be £2000 at least better off every year.
I won't feel so compelled to masturbate all the time. I Should have more free time and more energy.
I won't have the mood changes brought about by changes in my dopamine levels.
my partner will feel more attractive.
we can try karezza end feel closer. We can stimulate oxytocin production and be more happy.
