I woke up a few hours ago with a decent bundle of nervous energy. Warning! So, I did a bit of meditation and finally decided on a jog, I 'm blessed to live near the ocean. Still very awake, which is fine. Listening to my body much, much more. The old pain of not connecting with someone special seems to be setting in. Funny, how when you masturbate or even have meaningless sex you don't think about that special bond? Exacly what PBTS is predicated upon. We "take care" of that pent-up energy, instead of letting it evolve or transmute.

Day 8 maybe?

Well, it's Day 8, or Day 3 if you count just a bit of spillover. Forgive me if this blog is a bit basic as I am still in the minor leagues, despite the small hangover that I get from non-ejaculatory self-pleasure, I notice the inner confidence and power come roaring back the next day. Now, I also notice diet and exercise are key in this process too. Eating junk can have almost the same effect as ejaculation in my opinion. Tired, self-lothing, etc. So, for the full benefits, it is important what you do with that sexual energy.

Effects of Dopamine and reward circuit, sex aside.

Reading about Dopamine, and how it triggers the reward circuitry in the brain, I have to assume that a dopamine rush, achieved sexually, or otherwise will leave a person with the same imbalance, experiencing high ups, and low lows.

For me, this is kind of sad, because a number of the activities I center my life around are very much in pursuit of these highs. I never would have thought them to be unhealthy, because they all do the same things; get me out of doors, with friends, and provide much exercize.
