Semen retention leads to better health and longer life

Ancient philosophies and medical practices from Asia and India have long claimed that semen retention leads to better health and longer life.

Semen, which is in essence the very life-force of a man, must be retained in the body to maintain a man’s health.

Ejaculation reduces the life-force available to a man, which is evident from the immediate drop in energy, and generally depressed nature, which can be observed after ejaculating.

Semen is a complex mixture of calcium, phosphorus, lecithin, cholesterol, albumin, and nucleoproteins. When it is retained, it is re-absorbed into the body, where it is used to directly support the brain and central nervous system. This improves their function, making you more focused and confident.

Sexual energy created during arousal must also be transmuted, to take full advantage of semen retention. Transmutation allows sexual energy to be used for the benefit of a man, and not released in such a way as to harm him. Techniques that have been used to transmute sexual energy include pranayama, meditation, mantra, and prayer. Physical activities, such as exercise, are also useful ways to transmute sexual energy.

What are the Benefits of Semen Retention?

There are many benefits to semen retention for physical health, mental health and spiritual awareness. Some of the more common ones include:

Physical

increased energy and drive
boosted immune system
cures erectile dysfunction
prevents premature ejaculation

Mental

more confidence
improved memory
more decisive

Spiritual

calmer and less prone to anger
more connected to spiritual nature
control over material urges

How is Semen Retention Practiced?

Semen retention can be achieved by being celibate, and avoiding all sexual activity. But this is no fun! Some philosophies, such as Taoism however, believe that the full benefits of semen retention can only be attained by experiencing sexual arousal, without ejaculation. Sun Simiao, a Chinese doctor and philosopher, said that a man could receive the benefits of semen retention, and still experience ejaculation twice per month. To aid in recovery after ejaculation, exercise and a diet high in zinc are recommended.

Why practice Semen Retention?

Better sex! As strange as it may sound, semen retention improves your sex life. Frequent sexual arousal, without ejaculation, builds stamina and self-control. Self-control that allows you to last as long as necessary. Men that do not practice semen retention will usually last two to seven minutes before ejaculating, leaving the woman less than satisfied.

Women prefer a man that can last as long as she can. Sexual gratification usually takes longer for a woman to achieve. If a man is able to maintain sexual arousal for as long as he desires, it not only allows the woman to reach climax, it heightens the expectation of more climaxes to come. In the end, a longer lasting you will make a happier her.

semen retention

Hi there , new to this site so I'm not sure if this is the right place to post questions but I've been practicing semen retention for 45 days now and the first 3-4 weeks were amazing. Energy through the roof, stronger erections, confidence, and overall thought I'd discovered the fountain of youth. The last 2 weeks I've been struggling and have felt less resilient to depression/stress. A little less energetic and not as filled with sexual energy as I'm used to. My question is does it be and flow in this way, or have I reached a point where I should ejaculate? My wife and I have not had intercourse in this time. In the beginning I didn't think I could and keep my goal, and now that I feel like I can the situation hasn't presented itself(we've got kids). So perhaps I'd be feeling better if we were having sex although I have still been masterbating and circulating energy in the microcosmic orbit. Any advice for this newbie would be much appreciated, thanks.

it's about having sex

That's what I think. Having sex with your partner.

I think that is what it's all about. I would lose sexual energy also if I didn't have intercourse. And quite frequently, too. How come sexual intercourse hasn't been routine even with kids? Schedule it! It's really, really, really important.

I did not do solo cultivation when I started this journey. But I did have a lot of intercourse and it keeps getting better all the time.

To your other question, I do find sexual energy ebbs and flows and is never always the same.

about having sex

I agree with you 100%, it is about having sex. The main reason I started practicing semen retention was to overcome premature ejaculation. My wife and I have found other ways to.pleasure one another, but its gotten to a point where we both want intercourse. So out of fear that I wouldn't be able to not ejaculate we haven't been having sex in hope that my system just needs a reboot, although I have been feeling lately that perhaps I am healing my past pe problems and am ready to test the waters again. Thanks for your comments I am here on this site to soak up the wisdom of those who have mastered their bodies.

maybe you are trying to hard

Semen retention is a gradual process. So starting out, ejaculating once a week would be an accomplishment. Then every 2 weeks, then once a month then... And everyone is different and there is no failure, just starting over.

The goal is not to build up sexual energy but to transform sexual energy into life and spiritual energy. Circulating it in the microcosmic orbit does this, so that's what I would focus on.

trying too hard

I agree, I have a tendency to take things like this too seriously, I should qualify , though, that I have worked myself up to this last run gradually. I am having a difficult time letting go of it because I keep wondering if theirs a certain amount of days that will totally reboot my system and I never have to worry about the dreaded pe again...

"...I keep wondering if theirs a certain amount of days that will totally reboot my system and I never have to worry about the dreaded pe again..."

That's sounds too ambitious to me, to expect a reboot to result in never suffering P.E. again. I suffer inadvertent ejaculation (I.E.) here and there during Karezza, which I could consider a form of P.E. No doubt, my body is getting more and more resistant to such, but I get unexpected, and unwelcome, surprises still (probably because as I become more resistant to I.E., I amp up things). Oh well, it is part of the process and path, and I accept it and try to learn from my mistakes (e.g., hot foreplay is really problematic for me).

We followed Marnia's program of 'Ecstatic Exchanges' in C.P.A. through Day 12, and I found it most helpful in my reboot.

I am very happy for you and your wife that you are going down this most worthwhile path. It is tricky, trying to have private time when there are kids in the house. But, I hope you find a way to have frequent Karezza intercourse with your wife, as it sure improves the sex life and a marriage, in my experience.

P.S. -- lots of lube -- I use grapeseed oil -- certainly reduces friction, and tendency to I.E., for me.
