The "Fuck That Shit" Technique

Hello everyone!

I came up with a variation of the Red X Technique some days ago.

For those that don't know the Red X Technique you can read about it here: http://yourbrainonporn.com/other-techniques-for-rewiring

I never really liked that much using the Red X because I think it's kind of robotic and doesn't have any "meaning" when applying it.

So instead of using the Red X what I do is I say to myself "Fuck that shit" as soon as the urge to watch porn or visit a prostitute arises.

It has worked pretty well for me so far!

You have to do it AS SOON as an image pop ups in your head. The very same moment you get that intention of watching porn. You have to do it before you start making excuses.

After you say "Fuck that shit" you then proceed to refocus your mind on what you were doing before.

Give it a try!

Careful though.

You shouldn't say this to yourself if you were previously into 'scat' porn. Wink

As for the red X method, I really don't see how a fuel additive is helpful, although it does raise your octane rating.

My method is similar

I read a while ago about a similar method called "Just say NO".
Same thought. When something enters your mind, a thought, craving, etc., just say to yourself a firm NO. Sounds silly, but it does help.

I haven't looked into any

I haven't looked into any methods as I haven't had so much of a problem sticking to this, but I figured I'd share what's worked for me. I just accept that life sucks sometimes and is going to shit on me, regardless of what I do--but what matters isn't so much the outcome as how I deal with it. As long as I do my damnedest, endure as much as I can possibly endure (admittedly it may not be enough--but you'll be stronger next time)--I'm happy with myself. Men that have preceded us have had to endure much worse than anything we can relate to, and if we can charge head-on into a tenth of that, that should make all the difference. But to reiterate the main point: life sucks sometimes and it will shit on you--it's what you do that matters--you'll either take your shit payment now in the form of some discomfort and frustration, or later on , with interest, in the form of a lifetime of dissatisfaction.

Well said

But keep in mind that your generation has a tough battle here. It can be especially hard to fight an enemy with outposts in your head. Give yourselves lots of credit.
