Day 50- spontaneous erections but feeling sleepy.

I have had spontaneous erections that are not sexual and my penis is fuller and looks wider. However all I feel like doing is sleeping for the last couple of days. I don't know why but I don't feel alive like I did in the first month of quitting. When I lost the negatives ( irritability, anxiety, sleeplessness,) I Also lost the sexual energy, energy in general, and motivation for a lot of things. Does anyone know what might be going on?

it's pretty typical, actually, of guys I've read about here and what I kinda went through.

You can expect this when you reboot, or quit any serious addiction. Actually, I was never addicted to alcohol but I quit drinking (separate from PMO) and I went through this just from that. When you're hooked on something, and you stop, your brain goes into a kind of flat depressed nothing-excites-you state. It can take the form of sleeping a lot, not caring about much, weird dreams, and many other symptoms.

It's a sign you are making progress in your reboot.

it's so smart to quit drinking at least for a bit.

It took me a good couple months to feel decent again. Maybe three months or even four. I missed it evenings when I used to drink, and I missed it a lot on Sunday nights when I used to drink.

The same thing happened when I quit weed. Same exact thing. That took maybe 6 months to really get over.

I've never looked back. I don't have anything against drinking or smoking weed but I am much better off not doing it myself.

What's good about not doing these things is you really *feel* life, and it isn't covered up or blurred. I don't regret my years of smoking and drinking. I was never an alcoholic although I was really big into marijuana. But I am so glad I quit. It was really hard to do but it has been *so* good since.

I wouldn't try to worry that much about when you'll see good results. Those effects can be really unpredictable. I know it's tough, but you just have to sail through them :)

Yeah the worst part is the sleep.

It's been 51 days no pmo and I sleep every other day for about 6 hours a night. I don't know what to do to help me. I cut back on my cardio workouts since I am trying to gain muscle mass but I don't know if that was a good idea.

My advice would be

Deadlift, deadlift, deadlift. Volume training, high weight low reps...If that doesn't knock you out then I'm out of ideas Smile

Also i noticed eating late didnt help..try to stay away from pasta/energy foods late at night..

just sharing my experience as I too am trying to add mass. I also started to go to bed an hour earlier than i usually would, that way i had more time to relax/get to sleep before i started thinking "oh no will i get enough sleep tonight".

Just keep yoursel focused! I Think that because you can sleep 6hours in a row, it will fade away eventually.

Same for me, i'm feeling tired all the time know. Sleepy, low energy. My feet is dragging when i walk lol. And my eyes are tired all the time.

btw, I looked at a swimsuit catalogue yesterday and my dick went like 20%hard. Just be brave and be patient. And heavy lifting, that helps me. Plus you get muscles rawr
