hi.

i've questioned a few on this site on the benefits of withholding ejaculation.
attempting to get off PMO, i would hold ejaculation at the times when i felt an urge and ended up masturbating.
it has been agonizing to say the least. not comfortable. get a congested, irritated prostate, and some muscular aches from the edging.
even restless sleep and fatigue.

so what scares me the most and bugs me up until now is i read a site right through called cure erectile dysfunction .org
the material seems logical and believable but it's put a heap of fear into me about ejaculating because this and another site said that too much ejaculation leads to erectile dysfunction, lowered hormones, overheated prostate and inflammation, adrenal fatigue, depression, anxiety, in extreme cases even loss of electrolytes from cerebrospinal fluid and death.
all from losing too much bioelectricity which apparently your body does not replenish?

what here is the truth? i can certainly see dangers in too much masturbation and ejaculation in taking up your time and energy but should it have the potential to cause adrenal fatigue? death? loss of electrolytes? much like an overtrained athlete?

what is bioelectricity? is this an accepted concept?
can withholding ejaculation be damaging to prostate health?
is withholding ejaculation the same as edging?
is erectile dysfunction a physical problem in these situations or is it mental? due to fears and sexual anxieties?

given this site and other porn free sites mention an increase in dopamine and constantly draining yourself of sexual energy in front of a computer screen - is this idea then legitimate. that you can exhaust yourself into a chronic sexual fatigue? or sexual death?

As far as we know,

the biggest risk is Internet porn, not masturbation per se. Prior to highspeed it was rare for men to develop problems from too much masturbation. They quit when they'd had enough. Now, they can click to something hotter. As a result some over do it, and develop a variety of adverse symptoms.

Those who develop porn-related ED seem to benefit from giving up porn, masturbation and orgasm for a time. This is not due to anxiety, although it can cause it. It is due to addiction-related changes in the brain. See: Porn-Induced Sexual Dysfunction: A Growing Problem

Those who don't have ED, but have decided to give up Internet porn due to other symptoms (What are the symptoms of excessive Internet porn use? ) can sometimes incorporate occasional masturbation and still recover.

However, for many addicts, masturbation is so closely tied to porn use that they simply can't masturbate without porn. If they want to escape porn, they have to give up both for a time.

I don't know the answers to your questions, but it's evident that some guys see major benefits when they give up masturbating to Internet porn. This means that their frequent masturbation was, indeed, having adverse effects on them.

Edging is not advised. See What if I masturbate (edge) or watch porn without orgasm?

I strongly suggest you vist this FAQ - it will answer most everything - Is my erectile dysfunction (ED) related to my porn use?

so what scares me the most and bugs me up until now is i read a site right through called cure erectile dysfunction.org

That site steals most of its material from herbalove, and there is no Dr. Richards. Both sites mix Traditional Chinese medicine with a bunch of physiology that simply doesn't happen. Both are trying to sell supplements

Some people do experience a bit of depression and anxiety from too much masturbation, but the rest of this is nonsense. This FAQ covers this - What about 'sexual exhaustion?'

what here is the truth? i can certainly see dangers in too much masturbation and ejaculation in taking up your time and energy but should it have the potential to cause adrenal fatigue? death? loss of electrolytes? much like an overtrained athlete?

Again, some guys say they have more energy, clear thinking, and motivation - but they also eliminate porn, and were probably addicted to it, See thios article for our viewpoints - Porn, Masturbation and Mojo: A Neuroscience Perspective

is erectile dysfunction a physical problem in these situations or is it mental? due to fears and sexual anxieties?

Porn induced ED is explained under that FAQ

www.yourbrainonporn.com doesn't say anything about draining your sexual energy, and doesn't believe in the concept of sexual exhaustion, though in extreme cases I guess anything could happen.
