Ejaculation Abstinence, Energy, and the Prostate

Hi everyone,

I've been practicing ejaculation control for many years now. I turn 30 later this year, and I've finally got the hang of it - relatively speaking. Slip-ups are inevitable, but I can go for weeks at a time, transmute sexual energy, and feel tremendous (energy-wise as well as in a general spiritual sense) while doing so.....

My question to the community is the following: has anyone experienced prostate problems as a result of ejaculation abstinence? I don't want to set myself up for any trouble down the line, though the benefit to my overall well-being and health seems worth it at present.

What experience to other community members have with the prostate in the mix of all this? I often masturbate/have sex without ejaculation, and I'm concerned that prolonged sessions exacerbate the swelling of the walnut gland. I notice that I urinate more frequently at night if I've masturbated/had sex that day without ejaculating. I was told I have very mild benign prostate hyperplasia by my GP also.

Comments, insights, advice, recommendations are much appreciated.

Thanks in advance and best regards to all.....

My gut feeling

is that practices that create intense arousal and don't lead to ejaculation are potentially harmful (over the long haul).

The practice at the foundation of this site is karezza, a practice that relies for satisfaction on the loving exchange of affection between partners with long periods of still hugs - and (optional) gentle intercourse. It is different from tantra and Taoist lovemaking precisely because it is not effortful and doesn't put stress on the prostate - or busy either partner with forceful control techniques.

Thanks for sharing your experience.
