Awesome~

My sweetheart and I were talking about how after an hour or two of karezza, we stay in an "oxytocin buzz" for hours afterward and our faces are all glowy and soft-looking. (similar to how a woman looks so beautiful on her wedding day--it's oxytocin!)

And I can definitely see how it transfers over to relationships with others; makes it easier to stay peaceful and calm and happy.

Yes

Scientists use them in brief, controlled experiments. And companies are selling them, too. However, "real oxytocin" requires a prescription, which means the others are bogus.

Worse yet, like dousing your brain with any hormone, using oxytocin regularly can be quite risky over the long haul due to unintended side effects. (Advertisers have asked if they could advertise it on Reuniting. Wink )

Here's an article we did on it a while back: "Liquid Love" http://www.reuniting.info/science/oxytocin_nasal_spray_health_bonding

Nice article. It does seem

Nice article.

It does seem risky when it could activate other hormones and/or affect regions of the body. I read a few links on Google and mostly all of them said there were no known side affects, just another selling tactic I guess.

It's right

that the commercial sprays wouldn't have side effects, because they don't have prescription strength oxytocin. And short-term oxytocin probably wouldn't either. But there's solid science about bad results from long-term use of OT nasal spray. Humans just have very short memories.
